The Hive Cafe

Article by Eva

We love The Hive Cafe in Yukon, a new small business that you need to visit for their amazing customer service and even better food. You can locate The Hive Cafe at 1700 S Morgan Rd Unit C, Yukon, OK 73128.

The Hive Cafe is an amazing place that supports local businesses. One example of them doing this is that they support Henosis Drink Co by selling their products for them because they don't have a storefront.  They also serve amazing fresh food and drinks, and have super customer service. It's overall just an amazing place to visit. I went there as a guest and ordered the crazy pineapple and the watermelon agua fresca. It was amazing, and the staff were incredibly kind and respectful.

Prom

Article by Trinity

There are many events that people look forward to when spring comes around the corner. For children, it might be Easter egg hunts. For adults, it might be the call of summer vacation around the bend. For high school students, it’s most likely Prom. Mustang High School’s Prom takes place on April 26th at the Pavilion on the Fairgrounds with the entertaining theme of “Haunted Harbor”. Upperclassmen are eagerly counting down the days until the big dance; after all, Prom is an event that many people grew up watching or reading about. Last year, Mustang’s Prom was unfortunately disrupted by weather and held during the day, so many students hope that the weather will generously cooperate. Myself included.

As a junior, this will be my first time attending, and I am greatly looking forward to the day. It is hard to say what I am most excited for, but I can most confidently say that I am excited to see my fellow peers’ outfits and putting on my own. Though it takes a lot of time-and in some cases money-to get ready for Prom, the memories made with friends during the night are sure to last for a lifetime, and if you went to Prom, hopefully you had an incredible night as well!

Are You a Pop Star or a Rock Star?

Interactive by Trenton

As a teenager who doesn’t read much, I can enjoy comics from time to time, but these three stuck out to me.

3. Spider punk, Arms Race #1 by Cody Ziglar

This is placed in a world post Osborn. Spider-Punk and his team have to rebuild society while still fighting crime. I liked this comic due to its references to pop culture and its accuracy. In part of the story, there is guitar music that lines up.

2. Spider-Man 2099 #1 by Peter David

This is set in the future with the main protagonist Miguel O’Hara. Miguel is an employee of Alchemax. In the company, they are testing on changing genetic abilities. They do a test on a human and it’s partially successful. It gives the patient super strength but ends up going violent. This causes Miguel to quit and get laced with “rapture”. I like this story due to it being less about Spider-Man while still keeping its story based on him.

1. Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers #1 by Chris Eliopoulos

This is placed in a world like most comics. In the story, Lockjaw ends up with the infinity stones and has to assemble a team. He assembles the pet avengers to defend the stones. I enjoy this story because it’s like a normal avenger story other than the fact that they are animals. This adds humor while still keeping a serious story.
