The Western Days in the park has many booths. These booths range from hot sauces to lemonade to banks! There's always booths everywhere you look. Most are local businesses. What they all have in common however is the push they have. My favorite booth is the library one, although there are many other great options! They all spread their word out. If there is one thing you should do this Western Days, it is to come support these small and local businesses on September 7th! The booths will have helicopter rides, sword and stone apparel, local churches, banks, inflatables, local businesses and more! There will be something for everyone to do at all times! There are so many great experiences waiting to happen! Make sure to stop by to see your local library staff and volunteers! This will be a great time to connect with your local community when you can spend time together and bond over the many things we all have alike! Make sure to stop by, again, on September 7th!

As National Batman Day is approaching, here are some Batman books that take place before Batman is Batman:
Batman Nightwalker is a book about Bruce Wayne before he was Batman. Bruce Wayne is an 18-year-old kid who is about to get his inheritance, but right before he gets it, he gets in trouble and has to do community service. While doing community service, he meets a girl named Madeleine Wallace. She is a brilliant killer with ties to the Nightwalkers. Nightwalkers are terrorizing the town of Gotham, and Bruce has to team up with Madeleine to stop the nightwalkers.
17-year-old Bruce Wayne is a trouble maker. He gets sent back to Gotham City to find that nothing is as he left it. Selina Kyle, once the innocent girl next door, now rules over Gotham High School with a dangerous flair, aided by the class clown, Jack Napier. When a kidnapping starts at the school, Bruce looks to find what is happening.

During the Western Days event held here in Mustang there are a lot of things you could do like going to all the fun booths, getting some yummy food with friends, or watching a real life gun fight. While all of these are fun, my favorite event to watch is the parade that happens. If you have never watched the parade before I highly encourage it. Each year the western day's parade has a different theme and each year so many groups of people build floats that match the theme to try and win awards. Another amazing thing about this parade is that you get to watch the high school's marching band play songs, like "Oklahoma!" and sing cadences while marching down the road. So if you are interested grab a chair, head down to state highway 152, and enjoy the parade on western days!!!
